Sebastopol Football & Netball Club

Well, the season has finally arrived! Time flies when you're having fun... I guess that's why the Burra is the place to be! The 2022 year is shaping out to look like a very exciting season for the netball department. This season, we welcomed 18 new faces to the club. We have been very excited whilst doing team selections as we have seen a lot of new talent that works well with the returning players.

It is really exciting that our teams are looking the way they are, everyone is super stoked to get the season underway. Georgia Cann and Narelle Perkins will continue to be the superstar A Grade coaches. We welcome Chelsea Burns who will coach B Grade and Joshua Wells who will coach C Grade to the club. We also look forward to Kiya Eberle joining our senior coaching department, she will coach the Under 19 squad! We welcome back Tan Kirby who will coach D Grade and Olivia Cottier who will be coaching E Grade!

We also welcome Lachie Cooper, Julia Cann and Bridget Brady into the coordinator role taking over from the Burra Queen, Philippa Dodd.

Everyone is extremely excited for the season to start and we look forward to seeing what the 2022 season has in store for us and the footballers! Good luck to all teams and GO BURRA!

As we return for season 2022 there is a buzz around the kookaburra’s nest.

Jake Wilkinson is at the helm of the under 19s once again and has no doubt added to his coaching repertoire after what was becoming a promising 2021 season in his first year of coaching. We welcome all players from our junior ranks and those that have found their way from elsewhere.

Steve Medwell and Noel Lock are continuing in the role as reserves coaches and will be looking to continue on the teams fantastic 2021 form that would have seen a finals birth for the first time in a number of years. All the best to Meddy and Locky in what is hopefully another fruitful campaign.

Mick Searl & Co have put the boys through a long and promising pre season, everyone has been looking a treat on the park (particularly summer BOG Simon Butler) and will be looking for success on their path to the holy grail. List retention has been impressive, additionally the senior ranks welcome/welcome back the likes of Dean Robertson, Will Lovett, Bailey Veale, Jordan Crone, Kadek Irvan, Ethan Lawler and Lachy Lamb to name a few.

All the best to all players and coaches for the 2022 season, and finally, a special mention must go to our major sponsor - Sovereign Financial Group - and all other club sponsors for their support in the past and the upcoming season.
